My students could understand every word in a sentence—and still ask:
“But would someone actually say this here?”
That question stayed with me.
Because knowing what words mean is different from knowing:

Your explanation may be completely valid.
But when something needs fixing, make the next action visible first.

Try:
“Got it. I’ll fix X and update you by 3 PM.”
Then, once the situation is moving forward, clarify the misunderstanding if needed.
This doesn’t mean accepting feedback that is wrong. It means showing ownership before getting stuck in explanation.
